Service Description

Hearing the words “You have…” can change everything. Whether it’s your own diagnosis or a loved one’s, life can suddenly feel uncertain, overwhelming, and unfair. The world keeps moving, yet everything inside you slows down as you begin to process what this means for your body, your family, and your future. I understand this from both personal and professional experience. I’ve faced the uncertainties that come with a new diagnosis, and I’ve walked beside my mother as she faced and survived breast cancer. I’ve also spent years supporting children with cancer, as well as individuals newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and other chronic conditions. I’ve seen how illness impacts not only the person receiving the diagnosis, but also their spouses, children, and loved ones who are trying to stay strong. My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed. Together, we’ll make space for every emotion that surfaces — fear, anger, sadness, even moments of relief or gratitude — without judgment. Therapy can help you find steadiness amid uncertainty, redefine your sense of self, and build a path toward hope and healing, one step at a time.
